Now here is something I just happened to come across when reading about Feynman Diagrams. The Ulam Diagram which is a way of plotting prime numbers in a spiral on a 2-d surface. This could really do a persons head in. So here is my thought take a wolfram CA and various rules sets and plot the projection in a type of ulam diagram. Treat the Cycle like and event cone with expanding diameters.

I bet a prime number generating function emerges with some form of a CA rule set can produce a signature plotted on a complex surface that approximate a prime number generator.

If CA's can be "proved" closed form (i know they aren't) then there may be a whole new potential for a functional geometric proof in a "function space" which may be continuous but discrete.

Ok all of you fanatics out there with a solution to Reimann's Zeta, fire up your copies of mathematica and create a CA phase space mapped to a variant of an Ulam projection. :)
