Bailout nation update: Where did your $1,000 go?

Here is compiled data from the government bailout programs which equate to about $1,000/citizen so far. I farmed the work to Mechanical Turk for $5.   Here is the spreadsheet dataDownload TARP summary.xls .

Bailout nation has a few moving pieces which are grow like acronym kudzu:

• TARP=Treasury Asset Relief Program
• AIFG=Automotive industry finance program
• TIP=Targeted investment program
• AGP=Asset Guarantee program
• CABLIIP=Consumer & business lending initiative investment program

If you have been missing your tax dollars and wondering what they are up to have a look.  Your tax dollars have been visiting the following institution and hitting the high life in various states. 

I have just banged together the data.  There are over 505 institutions who received a little Bailout love, but I only graphed those receiving over $1 billion.  After all anything less is pocket change these days. Rolfe over at Optionarmageddon will do a better deep dive on this stuff.
